FTC had a great practice tonight. Thanks for the good attention and for welcoming our prospective new member. Here’s a quick summary of what we covered.
Kickoff This Saturday!
This Saturday is the Alamo FTC Kickoff in San Antonio. We will leave at 7:30 am Saturday morning from the Goodyear workshop (same place as practice). If you go, be sure to register for the event, choose specific workshops, and print your tickets!
Things to bring:
- Sack lunch or $7 to buy lunch
- paper/pencil/laptop, something to take notes with
- printed ticket from eventbrite
Defining Roles for the Fellowship
Tonight we started by brainstorming a list of roles and functions we think our team will need. Be thinking about which areas of work interest you the most. Good clear structure and well defined roles can make it easier for the team to work well together.
Naturally, we’ll still be elves and hobbits and dwarves and whatnot, too. Because of course.

Pieaters
We also watched the amazingly detailed and awesome instructional videos for setting up dev environments for our robot. This week, if you have a computer at home, practice setting up a dev environment on your own machine so you can get to know the systems we’ll be using.
