Whether you have fifteen minutes, a half day, a weekend, or an entire season, we need adult volunteers to connect, mentor, judge, and more.
Students build and program Mindstorms robots that autonomously navigate a four by eight foot challenge board. Teams are also scored on an elaborate project, their team work, and their engineering journal.
Students build, program, and drive robots with three other teams on a 12×12 foot field. Teams are also scored on their local outreach, their engineering, and their business plan.
Our team practices in our Coach’s garage, we have whiteboards covering the shelves to use for our various needs such as scoring, agenda, equations, ideas, etc. We use our surroundings to help like using the dolly to hold up the net behind our power-shot targets. Tivy Robotics and the Fellowship of the Robot began their virtual league matches in January. The two local high school teams are part of the Kerrville Robotics Alliance and compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition with teams from all over Texas.
